Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastside is excited to recruit for a Pastry Cook - Intermediate Level on our Culinary Team! The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on laminated doughs, bread pastries, and a variety of other baked goods. Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess food handler's card
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook, preferably in a professional kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters.
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.
