About The Position

As our PAS Operations Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining PAS Operations and the R1 PAS portal application. Each day, you will accurately extract and enter data from a variety of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems into the R1 PAS portal. You will demonstrate expert application knowledge and provide troubleshooting assistance to both internal and external end users. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between leadership, application users, and Information Systems. To thrive in this role, you should have previous experience in data entry or healthcare administration, preferably within a hospital setting. Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and software updates, along with strong attention to detail and effective time management, is essential to this role. Requirements

  • Previous experience in data entry or healthcare administration, preferably within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor and report on the supply and demand of case consults in the web-based portal work queue.
  • Perform hourly operational evaluations and make appropriate workflow adjustments to accommodate supply and demand.
  • Accurately extract relevant data from multiple EMR systems.
  • Enter extracted data into the R1 PAS online portal with precision and attention to detail.
  • Attach e-faxed medical records to corresponding cases in the PAS portal application.
  • Resolve requests on your own immediately or redirect in real time to the right person or department who can resolve them.
  • Act as the central contact and communication hub between clients and internal employees, managing inbound and outbound calls.
  • Resolve as much as possible of real-time troubleshooting machine/software failures, portal malfunctions, and portal user errors.
  • Escalate to appropriate parties when necessary, through the outlined IT escalation process/ticketing system.
  • Triage, note, and facilitate outages, portal glitches, and physician downtime due to IT issues using a centralized service desk.
  • Receive information from client hospital sites, either from their case management tool (ie, Careport or Epic) or email, and make initial entry of case into the portal.
