About The Position

We are a fast-growing startup boat dealership focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences, high-quality marine products, and reliable service. As we build our brand from the ground up, we’re looking for a driven, hands-on Parts & Service Manager to lead and shape our service operations. The Parts & Service Manager will be responsible for launching, managing, and scaling the dealership’s service and parts departments. This role requires a strong leader who can balance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth while building processes from scratch.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in marine, powersports, automotive, or similar service management
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (marine experience preferred but not required)
  • Proven leadership and team-building experience
  • Experience with service department KPIs, inventory management, and P&L responsibility
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving processes
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Department Leadership: Build and manage the service and parts departments, including hiring, training, and developing technicians and support staff
  • Operations Management: Establish workflows, service processes, and inventory systems to ensure efficiency and profitability
  • Customer Experience: Deliver top-tier service, handle escalations, and build long-term customer relationships
  • Revenue Growth: Drive service and parts sales through up selling, service packages, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Inventory Control: Manage parts ordering, stocking levels, vendor relationships, and cost control
  • Scheduling & Workflow: Oversee service scheduling, technician productivity, and turnaround times
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards, warranty requirements, and safety regulations
  • Startup Contribution: Collaborate with ownership on systems, tools, and strategies to scale the business
