About The Position

The Assembly Parts Kitter at Cleaveland/Price plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of our Assembly department. This role is responsible for pulling the correct numer of parts from various locations throughout the facility creating “kits” to provide to the different departments in Assembly department. They will aid in inventory control, quality, and production time adherence. The Assembly Parts Kitter will coordinate with the Assembly management team to pull parts for jobs in order of priority, while also adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail is a required.
  • Top notch communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25lbs. of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects that are 10lbs.
  • Candidates must be able to traverse the entire building to obtain parts their entire shift.
  • This role will repeatedly ascend or descend a ladder along with retrieving things from shelves that are floor level or above their heads.
  • Fine dexterity will be required to operate Mobile Eleveated Work Platforms.
  • Ability to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE).
  • The environment that this role will be working in a production facility that exposes team members to noise and dust.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior material handler experience or warehouse logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This role utilizes a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) to safely pull parts from higher locations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate a (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) MEWP is required.
  • Ascend/ descend rolling stairs and ladders to obtain parts.
  • Count parts and mark them in and out of inventory.
  • Decipher similar looking parts from one another.
  • Organize parts pulled for Assembly .
  • Document the pulling of parts.
  • Ensure work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
