About The Position

The Assembly Kitter is responsible for preparing, staging, and delivering complete kits of parts, hardware, and materials required for metal assembly operations. This role ensures that production teams receive accurate, complete, and timely kits to support efficient manufacturing and on-time delivery.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
1+ year experience in manufacturing, material handling, or kitting preferred
Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and basic engineering drawings
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
Experience using ERP systems or barcode scanners is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

Review work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and weld drawings to determine required components
Pull, count, and verify metal parts, fasteners, hardware, and subcomponents per kit requirements
Assemble kits accurately and label them according to job number, revision, and quantity
Stage kits at designated assembly areas in accordance with production schedules
Perform visual inspections of parts for damage, defects, or discrepancies before kitting
Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to supervisors or materials personnel
Maintain accurate inventory transactions using ERP or inventory management systems
Assist with inventory cycle counts and material organization as needed
Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards on the shop floor
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and kitting efficiency
