Parts Data Entry Clerk

About The Position

The Parts Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, maintaining, and updating parts, inventory, and order log data within the company’s ERP system and Microsoft sheets . This role supports inventory control, and production by ensuring part numbers, quantities, descriptions, and related records are correct and up to date.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1–2 years of data entry or inventory-related experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to read and understand part numbers, BOMs, and work orders
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Frequent use of hands and fingers for data entry and paperwork
Ability to walk between office, warehouse, and production areas
Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs (adjust as needed)
Ability to bend, reach, and stoop
Visual ability to review detailed data on a computer screen

Responsibilities

Enter and maintain part numbers, descriptions, quantities, in the ERP system and spread sheets
Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required notify BOM team when need to correct the BOM
Ensure inventory transactions are accurate and completed in a timely manner
Review data for errors and correct discrepancies
Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory,
Maintain organized records and documentation for parts and inventory
Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
Follow company procedures for data accuracy and compliance
