We have an immediate opening for a Parts Counter person, who will oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring retail and wholesale customers enjoy a positive parts buying experience. Due to the collaborative nature of this role, successful candidates are excellent communicators, problem-solvers, and enjoy building rapport with clients. The Parts Counter person reports to the Parts Manager.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or wholesale auto parts sales experience is highly favorable.
Automotive knowledge is helpful; dealership experience is a plus.
Experience reading and interpreting parts catalogs and working with DMS is preferred.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, in person and over the phone.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Assist retail and wholesale customers in selecting the required parts and accessories and solicit additional sales.
Locate and order parts from vendors or other outside sources, and maintain contact with vendors and customers regarding order status.
Provide customers with price quotes, invoices and other information.
Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner.
Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on the repair order.
Foster strong customer relationships to generate referrals and repeat business.
Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and retail displays, and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas.
Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or other materials that require immediate attention.
