About The Position

The Parts Counter position at Valley Ford Trucks - Master is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers in identifying, locating, and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. This role requires a thorough understanding of automotive parts and the ability to communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive parts or a related field.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for inventory management.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy work setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a parts department setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management and parts ordering systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct automotive parts and accessories.
  • Provide knowledgeable advice and guidance on parts selection and compatibility.
  • Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory of parts and accessories.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure parts availability for vehicle repairs.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to parts orders.
  • Operate the parts counter and point-of-sale system efficiently.
  • Stay updated on new products, industry trends, and technical advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all transactions.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
