About The Position

Thermo King West, Chesapeake & Central Carolinas are now Force TK. The company has about 300 employees across its 13 locations. It has also been very successful in diversifying its equipment portfolio that it sells and supports. Today, Force TK and its subsidiaries are market leaders in Thermo King transport refrigeration, Versalift aerial buckets, TICO terminal tractors, Club Car commercial vehicles, Knapheide truck bodies, trailer repair, and consumer golf carts. Force TK is one of North America’s largest and most respected dealerships in the critical transport refrigeration space. Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to the Service Department and customers’ inquiries for parts with a sense of urgency. Provide excellent selling experience for over-the-counter customers and technicians, during customer visits. Maintain stock accuracy by following ERP system and ensure all parts are accounted for in the computer system prior to the parts leaving the Parts Department. Check in new equipment and inspect all equipment. Contribute to the overall sales efforts of the company by talking to customers, understanding their needs, offering solutions, and maintaining the company’s monthly profit goals. Responsible for shipping and receiving parts. This includes unpacking, verifying quantities, stocking shelves, updating bin locations, fulfilling orders and processing parts return. Maintain daily lost sales reports, weekly cycle counts, and daily customer call reports. Answer incoming phone calls for parts department to fill orders for phone and counter customers. Maintain all parts areas in a neat and orderly fashion, including inventory on shelves. Drive locally in Charlotte area to deliver parts and materials in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be familiar with several computer-based programs including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • A background in parts inventory, invoicing and delivery procedures is a must. Knowledge of automotive and or heavy truck industry is a plus.
  • Safe operation of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Will need to be able to drive a forklift. Certification for forklift is completed through the company
  • Ability to learn and be proficient in using company’s business system program (e-Emphasys).
  • Create, build, and maintain professional customer relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and meet driving qualifications including abiding by all company policies and procedures.
  • Position includes stooping, bending, kneeling, sitting, standing, climbing into trailer, ladder usage, lifting up to 70 pounds, use of provided ear protection in a sometimes-noisy environment and safety glasses. Safety shoes are required to work in this position. A shoe allowance is provided for safety shoes. The work environment is open to the outdoor environment.
  • This position requires a drug screen, background check and where needed meet requirements to drive.
