Artificial Intelligence Underwriting CompanySan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Agents are being deployed into hospitals, banks, and governments today. Soon there will be more agent-to-agent interactions than human-to-human interactions. The world needs a gold standard for AI safety, security, and reliability. That standard is AIUC-1, and building it is our mission. Our mission is to underwrite superintelligence. We evaluate, certify, and insure AI agents, giving high-growth AI companies the credibility to earn their customers' trust. Over time, we will do the same for foundation models and data centers. Our team comes from Anthropic, McKinsey, METR, Weights & Biases, Perplexity, and the Thiel Fellowship. We have raised $15M led by Nat Friedman, Emergence, and Terrain, with backing from Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann and ex-CISOs at Google Cloud and MongoDB. AI agent builders and adopters are looking for a way to assess whether their AI agent is secure, and demonstrate proof of security to their customers and stakeholders. Just like in cybersecurity or financials - they ask their auditors for help with this. We are exploring partnerships with 25+ leading auditors to accredit them to certify companies against AIUC-1, following a successful pilot with Schellman. The hardest part is scaling while maintaining the quality and consistency of an AIUC-1 certification. We’re looking for an owner of this channel. This is a one-to-a-hundred role.

  • 4–7 years at MBB, and startup exposure that proves you can operate without a clear playbook
  • A track record of building trusted C-suite relationships and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • The ability to set a strategy and lead with direction, then roll up your sleeves and execute with the same rigour

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Partnerships, Strategic Alliances, or Strategic Accounts role (within compliance/ security/ risk) with strong commercial accountability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full auditor pipeline, from first conversation through accreditation, onboarding, training, and activation
  • Build the partner product: train auditors to represent AIUC-1 confidently; manage the relationships; adjust timings, costs, focus as needed
  • Co-market with partners, e.g., case studies, webinars, joint content
  • Expand partnerships: cybersecurity vendors, cloud providers, academic institutions, investors etc
