Develops vision, supervision, leadership and implementation of the Multilingual Education Program. Coordination of district wide program implementation, evaluation, training and learning development. Fosters collaborative relationships with district departments, schools, and outside agencies. Assists with interpreting and administering all local state, and federal statutes, rules and policies pertaining to multilingual learner programming. Assists with the day-to-day operations of the department including making data driven decisions, supporting coaching, instruction and program implementation, hiring and selecting staff, evaluating certified and classified staff, coordinating state assessments, and placing the needs and welfare of students above all else. The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out.
