Assist Special Education Department Directors with all aspects of the Speech Language Pathology including assessment, planning, implementation, oversight, and supervision of the Audiology, Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), English-Language Acquisition (ELA), and Augmentative Communication (AAC) Teams (as well as Secondary Autism Team for secondary education assignments). Provide support in recruiting and retaining Speech Language Pathology, Audiology, DHH, and AAC Team staff. Monitor the effectiveness of program practices and support professional development and provide student support in programs at the request of teams and Directors. For secondary education assignment, conduct professional evaluations of students at the request of Special Education Directors and complete all aspects of a research-based and reliable evaluation; provide defensible evaluations, following best practices in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, and consultations to teams as a member of the Secondary Autism Team.
