About The Position

Reporting to the Partner Integrations Manager in the Sheriff’s Tech Ops Bureau (STB), the Partner Integrations Project Manager will use appropriate project and reporting standards to design and manage assigned projects, overseeing all requirements gathering, planning, production and monitoring. Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Works with department leadership to identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Develops, recommends and implements policy relating to the Sheriff’s initiatives. Reviews deliverables prepared by team. Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standards. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimizes exposure and risk on project. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

  • Ability to develop understanding and knowledge of CCSO IT policies and practices.

  • Capable of performing duties with minimal supervision and managing projects from beginning to end.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR 5 years’ experience in a government agency.
  • Skilled in leadership, negotiating contracts, statistical analysis, and capable of developing solutions to complex, integrated business problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the public sector Project Management or related field.
  • Knowledge of IT systems development and implementations with vendor involvement.
  • Knowledge of government costing, budget and expenditures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plan for interface implementation and management with vendor-developed systems.
  • Maintain an understanding of STB development practices and procedures, and the interface and data catalogs used.
  • Create and continually update procedures to improve processes.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding the STB data handling practice.
  • Work with department leadership to develop and implement standardized procedures related to project management.
  • Work with team members, applicable department staff and vendors to define scope of projects; ensures appropriate resources are assigned appropriate project activities; develops, articulates, and ensures project milestones are met; identifies and evaluates lessons learned during project.
  • Track project metrics for all projects throughout the organization and maintains centralized accountability for management of project portfolio; works with management to provide strategic and tactical advice on programs/project planning and execution.
  • Coordinate medium to large and complex technology related projects between departments to ensure timely and efficient implementation of projects.
  • Set and meet goals for his or herself and for the team. Accountable for project deadlines and successful completion of projects.
  • Attend regular meetings regarding project management.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on a weekly or bi-weekly basis as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for monitoring performance measures and reporting the performance status to the supervisor.
  • Provide financial oversight and project budget management for costs in the functional areas.
  • Develop and maintain confidential reports as requested by the Partner Integrations Manager and/or Bureau Chief.
  • Additional duties as directed by the Partner Integrations Manager and/or Bureau Chief.

  • Deferred Compensation Program – Employees may elect to enroll in a deferred compensation plan, a tax deferred plan which may be used as a supplemental retirement option.
