About The Position

The Partner Business Development Manager (PBDM) – Lenovo Infrastructure is a partner-funded role focused on accelerating joint growth between Insight and Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). This position is responsible for deepening alignment between Insight’s sales teams and Lenovo’s data center organization across all segments. The PBDM plays a critical role in identifying high-value opportunities in Servers, Storage, Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDI), and Hybrid Cloud, coordinating complex go-to-market activities, and expanding our mutual footprint within targeted accounts. Through strategic architectural planning and relationship-building, this role drives high-margin growth and strengthens the Lenovo-Insight partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minumum of 2 yeasr Lenovo experience, infrastructure experience highly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of related channel IT experience in a dynamic sales environment managing accounts of significant size. Preference of further experience within Data & AI.
  • Must have Tier 1 vendor experience and knowledge.
  • Must have excellent proven prospecting and cold calling skills.
  • Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
  • Knowledge of specific vendor products a must

Responsibilities

  • Drive Infrastructure Alignment: Build strong synergy between Insight and Lenovo ISG sales teams to identify complex co-selling opportunities and maximize engagement with Lenovo’s partner programs (e.g., Lenovo 360).
  • Champion Data Center Solutions: Lead enablement sessions focused on Lenovo’s infrastructure portfolio, including ThinkSystem, ThinkAgile, and TruScale (Everything-as-a-Service), ensuring Insight teams can articulate the value of Lenovo’s data center stack.
  • Execute Solution-Led Strategies: Expand account-level Share of Wallet (SOW) by moving beyond hardware to lead discussions on Hybrid Cloud, Edge Computing, and AI-ready infrastructure via in-person or virtual engagements.
  • Bridge Sales Ecosystems: Maintain consistent communication with Insight’s specialized infrastructure architects and field sales leadership to ensure a unified approach to complex enterprise deals.
  • Strategic Reporting & Analysis: Present business updates, technical pipeline health, and campaign outcomes to senior leadership, focusing on high-value "Core-to-Cloud" growth strategies.
  • Exceed Growth Targets: Meet or exceed performance targets including infrastructure revenue, service-led pipeline development, and key account penetration metrics.
  • Provide Market Intelligence: Deliver monthly reporting on infrastructure wins, losses, competitive obstacles (e.g., Dell, HPE), and emerging technology opportunities with actionable insights.
