Part Time Worship Leader
About The Position
One Church is a modern, Christ-centered community passionate about creating worship environments that are spiritually authentic, musically excellent, and deeply formative. Our worship ministry exists not only to lead songs on Sundays, but to serve the local church, develop leaders, and invest in the next generation of worship pastors and musicians. The Part-Time Worship Leader will serve as both a spiritual and musical leader, helping shape meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences that align with the vision and theology of One Church. This role works closely with pastoral staff, production teams, and the Director of the Church Worship Label to serve the church with excellence, humility, and unity. We are looking for someone who leads with humility, creativity, and a genuine love for people—someone who values collaboration and sees worship as both a calling and a shared journey.
Requirements
- A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus
- Alignment with the mission, theology, and values of One Church
- Strong ability to lead worship vocally (guitar or keys preferred)
- Experience leading volunteer worship teams in a church setting
- A solid understanding of modern worship music and culture
- Familiarity with—or a willingness to learn— Playback and Planning Center
- Comfort working in a click/track-based worship environment
- Strong communication skills, relational maturity, and a collaborative spirit
Responsibilities
- Leading Worship
- Lead worship for Sunday services and select church events
- Choose and arrange songs that are theologically grounded, culturally relevant, and musically engaging
- Lead rehearsals with preparation, clarity, and encouragement
- Model confident, authentic vocal and instrumental leadership from the platform.
- Planning & Collaboration
- Partner with pastoral staff to align worship sets with sermon themes and church rhythms
- Collaborate with production and tech teams to create cohesive worship experiences
- Prepare and organize charts, tracks, and other resources to support rehearsals and services
- Team Culture & Development
- Help cultivate a worship team culture marked by humility, unity, and excellence
- Offer musical and spiritual feedback that encourages growth and development
- Model professionalism, servant leadership, and a heart for the local church
- Worship Label & College Ministry (Support Role)
- Maintain a healthy, collaborative relationship with the Director of the Church Worship Label
- Assist in the development of college student worship team
- Provide support for worship-related initiatives connected to the college ministry
- Offer mentorship and encouragement to college worship leaders as needed
- Help foster alignment between the church's worship ministry and the college worship community
- Spiritual & Pastoral Expectations
- Lead worship from a place of authenticity and spiritual maturity
- Joyfully support the doctrine, values, and pastoral vision of One Church
- Pray for and with the worship team and the broader church family
