About The Position

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology seeks to hire two part-time undergraduate researchers for the summer months in the Bibitzke lab. The successful applicants will perform experiments to explore fundamental mechanisms in Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli that regulate gene expression by transcription attenuation and translational control mechanisms. The methods that you will employ include in vivo expression studies, in vitro protein-RNA interaction studies, and in vitro transcription studies.
