About The Position

With supervision, the Part-Time Recreation Leader II assists with set-up and take-down for programs and events; performs assigned duties; cursory clean-up of facility as needed; follows all City and Center policies and procedures; responsible for the care and safety of participants.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic cash handling.
• Experience in working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Experience with public programs/event delivery and staff supervision.
• Ability to obtain relevant certifications within the time period designated by supervisor.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Possession of a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment substance abuse screening as a condition of employment.
• A motor vehicle record check and job-related doctor's physical exam may also be required.
• Safety-sensitive positions remain subject to random drug and alcohol testing after hire.
