Part-Time Public Relations Associate
About The Position
The Center for the Performing Arts (CPA) in the College of Arts and Architecture (University Park, PA) is looking for a student interested in working in the field of arts/events marketing and communications. Join our marketing team as a Public Relations Associate and project coordinator. The successful candidate will join the Arts Marketing Collective, a team of students supervised by the Director of Marketing and Communications and each mentored by a professional in the CPA marketing and communications department working to build audiences for a wide variety of arts experiences. Internships may be completed for credit through the Bellisario College of Communications. Credit and not-for-credit internships are paid at $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Penn State undergraduate student.
- Passion for the Arts.
- Experience using MS Office 365.
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Candidates should have strong communication skills and a willingness to work with peers and professional staff to effectively build community through the arts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in promoting performances and engagement events at the CPA.
- Writing copy
- Serving as a liaison with other departments at the CPA
- Coordination of marketing campaigns
- Developing creative student-centered promotions
