About The Position

We are currently looking for a Nanny in Brooklyn, NY 11231 A lovely family in Brooklyn, near the Columbia Street Waterfront District, is seeking a part-time Nanny for their 17 month old daughter and their infant, due in May. Care will be needed Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, caring, and engaging, with a passion for childcare. Familiarity with important developmental milestones is a huge plus, as well as the ability to find creative ways to help reach them! Schedule: Monday - Friday: 10am - 4pm Potential for additional hours when parents return to work in the fall Start date: Immediate $23-28 per hour Responsibilities will expand to include the infant, assisting where needed while the parents are home and taking over care of both children when they return to work

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of 1 year of paid, professional childcare experience
• Infant experience is a must!
• Must be able to provide professional childcare references
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Valid Photo ID
• Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
• Must be comfortable with family’s small, friendly dog and cats

Nice To Haves

• Ability to find creative ways to help reach them!

Responsibilities

• All aspects of care and monitoring for one toddler, including:
• Engaging in developmentally appropriate activities to support milestones
• Light meal prep
• Maintain child's schedules and routines as set by parents
• Communicate effectively with parent regarding child's daily activities, progress, and concerns that may arise
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children - help with light housework such as dishes, laundry, and organizing toys
• Walking to nearby playgrounds

• Should the family go on vacation during previously agreed upon scheduled days, one week will be paid in full. Subsequent weeks will be paid at a reduced rate.
