About The Position

The Department of Education Leadership, Evaluation, & Organizational Development (LEAD) invites applications for Part-time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the following program areas: Programs in Educational Leadership Programs in Organizational Leadership & Learning Program in Career & Technical Education Program in Human Resource & Organizational Development Programs in Healthcare Leadership (delivered in a Competency-Based Education format) Programs in Higher Education Administration Program in evaluation offer courses in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including blended and online formats.

Requirements

  • Master’s required for undergraduate courses, but an earned doctorate is preferred.
  • Doctorate is required for graduate courses.
  • Highest graduate degree must be in the field of study or a closely related field with clear justifications on qualifications.
  • Prior teaching experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • submit course syllabus
  • order textbooks or other reading materials
  • provide developmentally meaningful feedback
  • present engaging learning experiences
  • respond to students in a timely manner
  • communicate regularly with designated academic program director
  • maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders
  • submit course data (e.g., Hallmark Assessment Tasks, midterm progress reports) and final grades within university deadlines
  • comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer such as completing an attestation disclosure form
