About The Position

The Department of Information Systems, Analytics and Operations in the College of Business invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions to begin August 2026 and January 2027. Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until positions are filled. Hiring is contingent upon availability of funding and continued need. PTL's hired will teach undergraduate courses for the department to include the following subject areas: AI Ethics AI Prompt Engineering Analytics Programming in Python Business Statistics Cybersecurity (Computer Forensics, Network Security and Database Security) Data Analysis for Decision-Making with Excel and PowerBI Information Systems in Organizations Operations Management Project Management We seek PTL’s prepared to teach at a university level for both face-to-face and online course delivery. Expected teaching load is one to two courses per semester. All PTL’s may be expected to teach face-to-face courses during morning, late afternoon and/or evening time periods. Asynchronous online (distance education) courses may be taught as well.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, or a closely related field plus a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Blackboard Ultra learning management portal to present engaging and accessible learning experiences, provide meaningful course feedback and respond to students in a timely manner.
  • Monitor student progress and engagement, intervening as appropriate to support student successful course completion.
  • Maintain accurate course records, grades, and required documentation in accordance with university policies.
  • Communicate regularly with designated course coordinators.
  • Comply with university and departmental expectations.
