The Department of Sociology and Anthropology, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark, Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), is seeking part-time instructors (Lecturer/Coadjutant) for the Spring 2026 semester able to teach the course, Sociology and/or Anthropology of Mental Health and Illness, as well as the course, Social Problems online. In addition to other survey and upper-level courses relevant to the instructors' areas of expertise may be a possibility. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during the assigned course times; holding office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students; responding to student e-mails; conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner; and submitting final grades.
