Part-Time Grounds Worker
About The Position
The successful applicant will help keep campus grounds in neat and orderly condition by performing assigned duties. Operate large power lawn mowers, edger, hand tools, and vehicles associated with grounds maintenance and landscaping activities. Operate and maintain water sprinkler systems and time clocks. Maintain landscape and flower areas, remove debris from stairs and sidewalks, rake leaves, and keep parking lots clean of garbage. General Maintenance on equipment. Will work with the Facilities Maintenance Crew on preventative maintenance and work orders. On occasion, off-site on-call duties will be required for snow plow removal and maintenance, with a response time of within one hour. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Availability to work Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from May 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
- Minimum of 2 years running lawn equipment or something similar.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments.
- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
