About The Position

The Guest Services Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our guests while following proper cash handling procedures.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED.
• Perform basic math and accurate cash handling.
• Act with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greets all visitors with a smile and friendly manner, offers assistance and provides exemplary customer service to meet and exceed guest experience expectations.
• Communicates clearly and in a friendly manner.
• Maintains customer service standards while meeting needs of guests.
• Ensures accuracy of transaction to visitor and communicates appreciation for their business.
• Applies cash handling procedures, asset protection policies and requirements to daily routines.
• Accounts for any “over or under” at closings.
• Completes tasks on all checklists associated with the cashier position.
• Utilizes computer in the preparation and use of daily cash worksheet and balancing at the end of each day.
• Cleans and organizes assigned areas.
• Identifies and follows all Zoo sanitation standards.
• Serves as a team player to help others complete their objectives as needed.
• May be required to work in another capacity in the guest services area as needed.
• Given the opportunity, actively upsells daily admission into memberships.
• Identifies and follows strict safety protocols for guests as well as staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
