About The Position

Responsible for maintaining and supervising student conduct on school buses. Responsible for assisting the bus driver in the equipment for special needs students, including but not limited to lifts for wheelchairs. Responsible for assisting the bus driver in loading and unloading students. Assisting the bus driver as requested. Reporting disciplinary problems to the bus driver and/or transportation supervisor. Only minimum duties are listed. Other functions may be required as given or assigned.

Requirements

• Work history demonstrating dependability and reliability
• Good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow both oral and written directions and instructions of the assigned bus driver and/or the transportation supervisor.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters.
• Ability to manage students with disciplinary problems.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies
