About The Position

The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for bus aides available immediately. Bus aides ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on an assigned route that transports students and authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location(s). Bus aide positions are part-time (approximately 4 hours per day during the school year only).

Requirements

• Pass a national criminal background check
• Pass a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess the ability to pass an alcohol and drug test and DPS physical
• Possess an acceptable driving record
• Possess the ability to complete required bus driver safety training
• Possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively
• Possess knowledge of student discipline procedure
• Possess the abilit to manage student behavior

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students
• Transport students and authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location(s)
