Office of Intercollegiate Athletics seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Men's Assistant Soccer Coach to join our department of athletics. The successful candidate will demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusiveness as well as participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment. Under the direction of the head men's soccer coach, the assistant coach will have responsibilities within all aspects of program management including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, recruiting, scheduling of team travel and meals, game sheets, statistics, coordination of film review sessions, planning of team activities, scouting reports on opponents, camps and clinics, driving 12-15 passenger van for away games, game day and practice facility set-up, academic monitoring, fundraising and volunteer events. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must demonstrate the ability to recruit, coach and improve (teach) talented student-athletes Exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student athletes and staff Must be a team player, and have the ability to support and assist other employees Develop a positive atmosphere for the program both internally and externally within the athletic department and College Duties and Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: The assistant coach will be expected to attend all practices, matches, staff meetings, retreats, one golf tournament (one day), one night of volunteer work at the Opportunity Village's Magical Forest, awards banquet, staffing and working athletic a few matches for the designated spring sports during their seasons. The possible (TBA by head coach) schedule for Fall 2026 practices is 6:30 am to 8: 30 am Monday through Saturday. Training will commence August 1st. Variations to these times often occur due to scheduled games, travel and rest days for the athletes. The Fall 2026 schedule will consist of 4 to 6 travel weekends. Travel weekends usually are 3 days and 2 nights, but sometimes extends a bit longer. Travel dates almost always occur on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays. These times do not include post-season play. Post-season matches are set up for Fridays and Saturdays with the exception of the National Tournament which is a weeklong. The season schedule generally includes matches/scrimmages every weekend from August 1st to the end of October. Physical Demands Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity of condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Requires frequent, sometimes prolonged work on a personal computer/laptop. Additional Physical Demands Working weekends, and evenings will be required as well as extensive travel around the Las Vegas valley and the state. Occasional out of state travel for games and recruiting purpose. Working in extreme weather conditions, including heat, wind, rain, and other outside effects. Additional physical lifting may be required to completed job assignments that exceed 10 pounds of force.

  • Develop a positive atmosphere for the program both internally and externally within the athletic department and College
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University
  • Previous college soccer coaching experience
  • General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics
  • NCAA policies and compliance issues
