As the principle sales contact for Sonny’s parts customers, the Parts Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, proactively communicating, and taking action on client needs, promoting Sonny’s products and services across all lines of business, increasing wallet share of current customers across Sonny’s Parts multiple product lines, converting customers to Sonny’s Parts from other lines of business, and proactively engaging lapsed and new customers to grow Sonny’s Parts business. This is an on-site position at our corporate headquarters in Tamarac, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a Concentration in Sales or Marketing; Equivalent Experience
  • 3+ Years of Product Sales Experience in an Inside Sales Capacity; Outside Sales Experience in Addition to Inside Sales Experience a Plus
  • Proven Track Record of Meeting and Exceeding Assigned Sales Goals\Quotas
  • Solutions Provider Orientation Able to Present Multiple Product Lines
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to Work Independently to Achieve Assigned Goals and Follow-through on Expected Sales Processes
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems preferred – SAP and Salesforce a Plus

  • 5+ Years of Experience in the Car Wash Industry Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Achieves departmental annual growth goals through the expansion of business with current clients, engaging lapsed and declining customers and winning them back to Sonny’s, and aggressively growing business with new clients.
  • Onboards new customers through a variety of sales activities including ensuring catalog and other relevant collateral is sent to the customer, proactively and regularly engaging with key client contacts, ensuring accounts are appropriately setup, e-store access is created, relevant client employees trained, and sharing promotion information.
  • Converts customers from other lines of business (i.e. Equipment, Chemistry, Signage, etc.) to the Sonny’s Parts division as their primary source for car wash parts.
  • Conducts regular and proactive customer outreach across entire customer base with special focus on new, declining, and lapsed customers.
  • Increases wallet share of current customers by reviewing key product category sales relative to individual account purchases; proactively reaches out to clients to increase purchases in undersold categories.
  • Utilizes various internal and external databases to mine customer and prospect information with the aim to further division sales growth and general parts business development.
  • Works in tandem with Sonny’s Select Service Organizations (SSOs) to maximize product sell through with them and support sales to end clients.
  • Provide on-site consultations and support that includes assessing customers service needs, identifying the correct parts to sell to customers that will maximize wash performance and efficiency by inspecting their tunnel\equipment, and meeting with site employees.
  • Utilize the CRM system to manage all leads, contacts, opportunities, activities, notes, documents, and other related information to organize Parts sales initiatives and activities.
  • Proactively develops the lead pipeline by engaging customers and prospects through various mediums and events including social media, special events (live and digital), trade shows, group presentations, and industry association events.
  • Follows up on all trade show leads by actively engaging customers, documenting feedback in the CRM system, and developing opportunities where applicable.
  • Works in partnership with the Parts Customer Service team to ensure client needs are satisfied and that any issues or concerns raised are provided with timely solutions and resolution.
  • Creates and presents detailed reports and presentations regarding Parts Sales activities as required by the management team.
  • Stays in tune with the marketplace by understanding customer’s evolving needs, continuously evaluating Sonny’s competitors, learning about new products, and understanding automotive trends that may be relevant to car washing.
  • Educates customers in masterful detail regarding Sonny’s Parts product portfolio, value proposition, available services, and relevant product information (including product quality, application, and function.)
  • Develop a thorough understanding and familiarity with all Sonny’s collateral material, website information, and advertisements to be able to utilize them effectively in sales engagements with customers.
  • Be the Parts product expert across all key and secondary categories to best support and educate customers, partners, and colleagues.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing and networking with relevant industry professionals, and participating in professional societies
  • Build, encourage, and maintains long-term relationships with all internal partners, external partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Supports the Parts Management team by providing firsthand field information regarding customer product trends, uses, needs, and challenges.
