About The Position
Under immediate supervision, the Custodian performs custodial/janitorial services in and outside of public areas or buildings including immediate surrounding grounds, as assigned, to include cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing glass and walls, cleaning furniture, picking up and removing trash, and minor air condition and electrical repairs. Employee keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. Employee cleans offices, halls, bathrooms and both public and employee spaces. Employee performs routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs. Employee must abide by safety procedures. Employee has daily contact with the public requiring tact, courtesy and diplomacy.
