THE JOB Lakewood Amphitheatre is seeking is seeking a Parking Operations Manager. The Parking Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Parking department and to ensure all guest, employee, artist and venue transportation needs are satisfied during event and non-event days. This is a seasonal position, typically working from March through October.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service or a comparable role
  • Previous experience working and supervising in parking operations
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated ability to execute programs or new initiatives
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all parking areas are safe, clean and orderly. Is also responsible for maximizing the space usage of all parking areas.
  • Leads the traffic control for the venue, specifically at the beginning and end of an event day.
  • Manager works closely with box office and ancillary departments to maximize parking revenue.
  • Moves throughout the venue and conducts regular lot inspections to monitor and take corrective action when needed.
  • Provides guidance and improvement and implements necessary adjustments.
  • Participates in parking lot operational setup.
  • Ensures all parking lot equipment is collected after events.
  • Ensures that all signage is properly placed and collected during event show days.
  • Manages all equipment and inventory for the parking department such as check-out and check-in vests and radios.
  • Expertly manages and troubleshoots parking POS systems, leading staff training initiatives to ensure seamless operational performance.
  • Show CARE by participating in venue’s efforts to maintain a clean, sustainable environment which could include post-show pick, waste sorting and other opportunities to reduce our waste landfill footprint.
  • Resolve parking lot disputes that occur.
  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels and disciplines parking staff for the efficient operation of the parking department.
  • Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff.
  • Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates the department and recommends and implements new operational policies and procedures when necessary.
  • Investigates and resolves parking complaints.
  • Interacts positively with guests.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager
