About The Position

The Parking Monitor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring parking areas at the property during high-traffic community events occurring near the property. The primary objective of this role is to prevent unauthorized parking by non-residents and visitors, help maintain clear access for residents and emergency vehicles, and ensure a safe and orderly parking environment. This is a part-time, event-based position requiring professionalism, attentiveness, and courteous interaction with the public.

Requirements

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to professionally and calmly interact with residents and the public
• Comfortable standing and walking outdoors for the duration of the shift
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in parking control, security, customer service, or property operations is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-site parking areas during assigned shifts
• Prevent unauthorized vehicles from parking on the property during community events
• Verify resident parking permits, hang tags, or decals as applicable
• Politely redirect non-authorized vehicles to off-site or public parking areas
• Serve as a visible deterrent to improper parking and traffic congestion
• Maintain clear access for residents, staff, service vehicles, and emergency responders
• Communicate parking concerns or recurring issues to property management
• Document incidents or recurring violations as directed
• Follow all property policies, safety procedures, and professional conduct standards
