The City of Bishop is accepting applications for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer. The Parking Enforcement Officer patrols assigned areas by vehicle, bicycle, and on foot to enforce City of Bishop Municipal Code and California Vehicle Code parking regulations. Issues citations and warnings, coordinates towing/impound when authorized, responds to citizen inquiries and complaints, testifies in court, and performs related clerical and field duties that support orderly parking, traffic safety, and downtown/business district turnover. This is a civilian, non-sworn position emphasizing education, voluntary compliance, and professional customer service while maintaining consistent, impartial enforcement. This is a part time position. With a maximum of 20 hours per week. Salary will be based on experience.
