About The Position

The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, private, non-profit corporation dedicated to strengthening the core assets of downtown by revitalizing and connecting the Central Business District and Over-the-Rhine (OTR). 3CDC works closely with the Cincinnati corporate community and City of Cincinnati to achieve its mission. With an annual operating budget of $20 million, the organization employs approximately 170 full-time staff and 180 part-time staff across real estate development, real estate management, civic space management and programming, and business district management. To date, 3CDC has been directly involved in over $2 billion in development projects, completing over 100 projects that include reimagining civic spaces, adding market-rate and affordable housing, and creating density through mixed-use residential and office projects. They manage over 660,000 square feet of commercial space and nearly 6,000 parking spaces, generating over $40 million in annual operating revenues. Additionally, 3CDC manages and programs six civic spaces, hosting nearly 1,600 free family-friendly events annually, and oversees two special improvement districts providing clean and safe services, homeless outreach, beautification, and marketing support. The Parking Attendant position supports 3CDC's operations by manning and maintaining one or several of the 9 parking facilities and 7 surface lots within Downtown Cincinnati. This role is supported by 1st Shift Management Officers, Events Management Officer, Maintenance team, and facilities staff, and requires the ideal candidate to operate with minimal supervision. Key tasks include providing direct customer service, performing janitorial duties as defined by a checklist, troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing pay on foot and pay at exit devices, and completing basic, entry-level maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, receipt/ticket rolls, and entry/exit barriers. Janitorial tasks will involve the use of furnished supplies, cleaning agents, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklist and as directed by the Facilities Management Team to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter, and debris is removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes, and other hand tools.
  • Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
  • Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells as well as clean surface area rails, etc. on all levels, the booth, the office, and rest rooms.
  • Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth, and the office.
  • Replace burned out bulbs.
  • Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members
  • Check conditions of safety items, such as gate arms to ensure clearance bars are secure.
  • Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operations, ticket supply, accuracy of time on clock and general appearance.
  • Shovel, plow or blow snow from the entrance or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Facility Manager using shovels, snow blowers and other light duty equipment.
  • Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks, and freeways around the assigned facility.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties including cashier, attendant, etc. on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive and remain complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
  • Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
  • Manage, assist, and direct traffic during events that draw a higher-than-normal volume to the facility.
  • Conduct scheduled, accurate car counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
