About The Position

The Parking and Guest Concierge is responsible for assisting patients and guests with questions and directions in the parking areas including, but not limited to, helping to use the pay-on-foot stations, directions within hospital and transportation. They will also operate gates and parking equipment to alleviate any backups in the parking areas and submit work orders for repairs to parking equipment and performing other related duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be insurable by DCH auto insurance.
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality, customer’s services and healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist public within the parking areas.
  • Instructs on the usage of the pay-on-foot stations and pay-in-lane stations.
  • Report repairs needs of parking equipment and gates.
  • Report parking and work areas regarding any potentially hazardous conditions, correct immediately if applicable or report to supervisor and appropriate department.
  • Operate gates and parking equipment to alleviate any backups in the parking areas.
  • Assist of transporting patients in a safe, comfortable, courteous and efficient manner by Golf Cart & wheelchair throughout the Medical Center.
  • As assigned, unlock the emergency elevator for the patient escort in the Medical Tower and the Hospital.
  • Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
  • Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
  • Performs essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors and employees.
  • Identifies and reduces unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors and employees.
  • Recognizes and takes appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors and employees.
  • Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
  • Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
