About The Position

Transport patients to the proper destination, promptly and efficiently - Deliver patient bar code stickers to the appropriate department - Stock supplies within the department - Safely and efficiently operate the vehicle, being mindful of all traffic in the parking lot and of all pedestrians - Service the vehicle according to the policy and report all repair needs to the supervisor - Practice good public relations.

This position is accountable for the transport of patients, either by escort or in a wheelchair, to various departments within the medical center including Outpatient Surgery, Endoscopy, Radiology, Heart Catherization, Special Procedures, Wound Care, and to inpatient rooms when admitted. Employees must safely and efficiently operate the golf cart being mindful of all surroundings.

Requirements

• Must have cordial personality to interact with patients and guests
• Must be physically able to transport patients in a wheelchair
• Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license
