In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to support families in your community by providing essential parent training that promotes safety, stability, and a thriving environment for children. Your work will directly contribute to creating stronger, healthier homes. As a Parenting Counselor, you will work under the direct supervision of the family support unit director. Parenting counselors provide community based in home parental support services which may include some evening and weekend hours. This may include clinical, behavioral, psycho educational treatment modalities based on the assessment of motivational and psychosocial issues, which may include family and group therapies, supervised visitation that focuses on the empowerment of families and the development of skills to utilize during familial interactions. To best meet the needs of families, flexibility is key. This means some evenings (as late as 8–9 PM) and weekends may be required, depending on family schedules. However, we offer a flexible workweek that allows you to adjust your hours—so if you work a weekend or evening, you can flex your time during the week to maintain balance. What Makes This Role Stand Out: Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy the option to work four consecutive days and have three days off—without using PTO. Work-Life Balance: Take time off during the day for personal appointments or errands. Meaningful Work: Help families navigate challenges and build safe, nurturing environments for their children. Responsive Support: Occasionally, additional visits may be needed to address safety concerns, and we work around parents’ and children’s school and work schedules to ensure success. If you’re passionate about making a difference and thrive in a flexible, community-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.
