About The Position
PRO Pediatric Services, is seeking exceptional Paraprofessionals to provide services within a local intermediate unit. Job Details: Location: Dunmore, PA Schedule: Full-time, 10-month position. M-F 8am-2:30pm. Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work Caseload: K-12, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms Paraprofessionals will work with students 1:1 during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed. Our Paraprofessionals are vital members of the school team. They work with our district partners to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. Our school division, PRO Pediatric Services , supports students from Early Intervention age, up to grade 12 within school districts, charter schools, and intermediate units.
Requirements
- Must have an Associate's degree or higher
- A minimum of one year recent experience working with children in a school setting is required
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities or special needs in a school setting
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene as needed
- Support students in classroom activities, communication, and social interactions
- Help implement behavior management strategies under teacher and therapist guidance
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents regarding student progress and needs
