Requirements

  • Demonstrates the appropriate specialized knowledge required to perform the job effectively and efficiently
  • Exhibits the skills necessary to complete tasks using established techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Maintains valid motor vehicle license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders and have the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population and age to be served
  • Resume must include relevant employment dates including month and year, and populations served.

Responsibilities

  • Show knowledge and use of clinical process to achieve positive outcomes to include: evaluation, assessment, service, treatment planning, intervention techniques, aftercare, and transition planning
  • Remain available face to face or by telephone, 24 hours a day 7 days a week as staff serves as the first responder in the event of crisis situations. The service site will be at any location the consumer or family needs
  • Maintain accurate service and billing record documentation that clearly communicates the services provided and consumer progress Documentation shall maintain compliance with organizational policy/procedure, purchaser of service requirements (NC Division of MH/DD/SA, DMA/Medicaid, MCO) and accrediting/regulatory bodies (CARF, NC Statute/APSM rules, etc)
  • Participate in community-based team approach that utilizes the resources of the community, consumer, and treatment team to achieve positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in and be a part of organizational and therapeutic teams
