Requirements

  • 8+ Years of Paralegal Experience
  • Paralegal Training Certificate or higher

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree
  • In-House legal experience
  • Contract Analysis expertise - particularly in construction contracting and product compliance
  • Strong understanding of reviewing and analyzing regulations
  • Project Management skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of domestic and international commercial agreements, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating service, equipment, and rental contracts with extensive experience in construction contracts
  • Reviewing and analyzing product information for compliance with laws and drafting product certifications for compliance with United States laws and regulations
  • Overseeing the preparation, negotiation, and execution of non-disclosure agreements related to business opportunities, ensuring compliance with corporate policy
  • Drafting basic legal documents, including correspondence, demand letters, affidavits and declarations, summaries of contracts and other documents, releases, and research memoranda for review, approval and use by attorneys
  • Researching and analyzing law sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes
  • Investigating and analyzing facts, contractual terms and laws relating to disputes
  • Liaising with outside counsel, internal employees and others in the Legal Department to ensure effective project management
  • Crafting and delivering training for business teams
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities including drafting, obtaining approval of, and publishing policies and procedures
  • Providing mentoring and support of Legal Team members, including junior paralegals and contract administrators
  • Documenting actions requiring coordination with higher level entities, across entities and within the organization, and coordinating actions through approvals
  • Maintaining and submitting reports
  • Obtaining and coordinating signatures and notarizations, and ensuring proper recordkeeping of documents
  • Assisting in the management and maintenance of legal and business tools
  • Handling other duties as assigned
