We are seeking an experience Paralegal & Contract Specialist from our Carmel, IN office. This role is responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and contractual provisions, while providing practical legal guidance to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience considered
  • 1–3 years of paralegal experience
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts preferred
  • Experience interpreting legal regulations and contractual language preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet-based research
  • Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Results-driven with the ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Strong interpersonal skills; professional, collaborative, and customer-focused
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and revise a variety of commercial contracts, amendments, and legal documents.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks within contract language.
  • Advise business leaders on contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Interpret federal, state, and local regulations impacting contracts and company operations.
  • Maintain and update standard contract templates, clauses, and legal documentation.
  • Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking renewals, expirations, and key deadlines.
  • Conduct legal and business research to support contract interpretation and decision-making.
  • Maintain organized contract files and databases; generate reports as needed.
  • Support the Legal Department with special projects, audits, dispute resolution preparation, and other paralegal duties as assigned.
