About The Position

Para Professional Tracy Elementary School Instructional A Highly Qualified Status Required Full time - 10 month Position This position is for a full-time Learning Support classroom serving students with special education needs. Additional training may be required and will be provided in accordance with the parameters outlined in the current collective bargaining agreement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ( include, but are not limited to ): May provide one-to-one attention to an assigned student based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) needs, which may include, but is not limited to: Behavioral plan(s), Daily Living Skills (Feeding, etc.), Executive Functioning Skills, Organizational Skills, Data Collection, Toileting/Diapering. Supervises students in teacher-planned activities and assists teacher in monitoring student progress. Assists students in orderly, safe and efficient transition between activities. Provides teacher with continuous feedback concerning student academic progress, student behavior, and incidents, which affect student well being. Assists the teacher with classroom management when required. Monitors field trips, playground activities, testing situations and pupil activities during periods of free, independent study or seatwork. Assists classroom teacher with record keeping. Operates classroom and office equipment when required. Assists in securing, preparing, collecting and inventorying teaching nequipment and materials. Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highly Qualified Status Required
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide the following documents: Act 34 PSP Criminal Record Check, Act 114 FBI Criminal History Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, and the Act 24/82 PDE 6004 form.

Responsibilities
