About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Painter is responsible for powder coating boat trailer frames and parts. This role will operate powder coat guns to ensure that parts are fully coated when going into and coming out of the paint booth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares parts for coating. Follows all principles and practices of powder coating application. Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems. Observes machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects. Determines paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality. Ensures that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance. Ensures safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment. Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures. Properly cleans and maintains of equipment. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Requirements

Minimum Degree Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Must wear respirator and paint suit while working in the paint booth
Trained in SDS sheets specific to the paint department
Ability to operate trigger style paint gun
Light lifting, under 20 lbs.
Light carrying, under 20 lbs.
Moderate lifting, 21-59 lbs.
Moderate carrying, 21 – 59 lbs.
Straight pulling
