About The Position

We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Paid Media Specialist to manage and optimize paid search campaigns for Shopify-based eCommerce brands, with a strong emphasis on tracking implementation and data integrity. This role is primarily focused on Google Ads, with additional exposure to Bing Ads, and requires deep familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Ads Editor.

  • 4+ years of hands-on paid media experience (Google Ads required)
  • Strong, practical experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Ads Editor
  • Proven experience managing paid search for Shopify eCommerce brands
  • Solid understanding of analytics, tracking, and conversion measurement best practices
  • Experience implementing GA4 event tracking and enhanced conversions
  • Comfortable working directly inside ad platforms and tracking systems daily
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven, and proactive in identifying tracking issues
  • Adaptable and comfortable contributing in a small agency environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Shopping, and Performance Max
  • Support and manage Bing Ads campaigns
  • Drive performance across Shopify eCommerce accounts with a focus on ROAS, CPA, and revenue growth
  • Use Google Ads Editor for efficient campaign management, bulk changes, and optimization
  • Own tracking implementation and data integrity across Shopify sites
  • Build and maintain Google Tag Manager (GTM) container structures, including workspaces, folders, and naming conventions
  • Implement and manage tags for GA4, Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms using best-practice triggers and variables
  • Configure GA4 event tracking, including key events and conversions, and pass required parameters (e.g., value, currency, transaction_id, lead_type)
  • Set up and maintain Consent Mode, including consent signals, defaults, and consent-based firing rules
  • Debug and validate tracking using GTM Preview and GA4 DebugView, ensuring events align with business logic
  • Implement enhanced conversions and first-party data capture where applicable (e.g., hashed email/phone)
  • Maintain clear documentation, including event maps, dataLayer specifications, and change logs
  • Occasionally assist with blog writing and social media content as part of broader agency initiatives
