About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Packing Lead to oversee daily operations in our packing department. This position plays a key role in coordinating workflow, ensuring product quality, and supporting the packing team in a fast-paced production environment. The Packing Lead serves as the first point of contact for team members and works closely with supervisors to meet production goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years of experience in packing, manufacturing, or food processing (leadership experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively with a team
Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily packing activities and assign tasks to team members
Ensure finished products are packed, labeled, and sealed according to company standards
Train, mentor, and support packing staff in proper techniques, safety, and quality practices
Monitor product quality and immediately address nonconformities
Maintain accurate counts, documentation, and production records as required
Assist supervisor with scheduling, planning, and communicating priorities
Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment; reinforce food safety and sanitation protocols
Serve as a communication link between the team and supervisor, promptly reporting issues or concerns
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality gains
Perform hands-on packing work as needed to meet production demands
