Packing Line Lead

As a Line Lead, you'll take charge of a designated line, ensuring that quality, productivity and safety are always top-of-mind. You'll train new hires and contractors, guide their daily work, and review process sheets to keep operations running smoothly. With hands-on problem solving, you'll make sure the line runs smoothly, maximizing efficiency and reducing downtime.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing preferred, especially in a packing department.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of all aspects of assembly and packaging.
- A positive mindset and ability to motivate people
- Knowledge of set-up and maintenance procedures for packing equipment
- Maintain a reliable record of attendance and punctuality.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- A willingness to work overtime during busy times
Responsibilities
- Regularly review the quality of production output to ensure that established standards are met.
- Train employees and contractors and direct their daily work on designated line.
- Regularly review information on the process sheets.
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean and functional, following all safety procedures.
- Ensure the line achieves and maintains an acceptable level of efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the line meets production standards rate (pieces per hour) as indicated on the process sheets.
- Operate equipment with minimal supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
