About The Position

Packer/Inspector is responsible for the packaging of product and preparation of order shipments. This position is responsible for following shipment schedules, managing inventory, and updating packaging methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work at a quick pace.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Packaging
• Magnet handling
• Visual inspection
• Follows packaging log to choose appropriate packaging materials
• Selects correct order information for labels
• Microsoft Excel and Word programs
• Suggests improvements to process or packaging methods
• Ensures pack methods comply with blueprint and best practices
• Reviews customer checklist to ensure proper documentation is supplied
• Updates station standards
• Updates packaging log
• Inventory management and transfers
• Manages consumables
• Manages timely shipments per customer shipment schedule
• Collaborates with operations
• Makes suggestions for continuous improvement
• Ensures workstations are organized
• Follows strict cleaning schedule
