About The Position

Definition: Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled jobs pertaining to the packing department. Essential Duties Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area in compliance with OSHA requirements and the facility's safety committee's regulations. Perform work according to established written procedures and complete written documentation. Report to work area promptly at the start of scheduled shift. Return from breaks and lunch periods on time. Keep supervisor advised of tools, equipment, and/or material needs in order to ensure the timely completion of scheduled production. Select supplies such as stamps and tags according to job requirements Cut excess material or thread from finished products Perform 35% of standard rate per established norms per job function. Insure through first piece inspection with quality control that operation is set-up accurately If unable to attend work, please call the call in line at 812-316-0177 within thirty minutes of the beginning of the shift. Responsible for visually checking to ensure product being ran is of acceptable quality at all times, notifying Shift/Area Supervisor if quality is sub-standard. All other duties as deemed necessary. May be required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift and move over 100 pounds with assistance. Additional hours if needed are mandatory. ? Requirements

  • Ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
  • Maintain good hygiene.
  • Ability to establish working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment.
  • Prior manufacturing experience helpful.
  • Working knowledge of a sewing facility helpful.
