About The Position

Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled jobs pertaining to the packing department.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
  • Maintain good hygiene.
  • Ability to establish working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience helpful.
  • Working knowledge of a sewing facility helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area in compliance with OSHA requirements and the facility's safety committee's regulations.
  • Perform work according to established written procedures and complete written documentation.
  • Report to work area promptly at the start of scheduled shift. Return from breaks and lunch periods on time.
  • Keep supervisor advised of tools, equipment, and/or material needs in order to ensure the timely completion of scheduled production.
  • Select supplies such as stamps and tags according to job requirements
  • Cut excess material or thread from finished products
  • Perform 35% of standard rate per established norms per job function.
  • Insure through first piece inspection with quality control that operation is set-up accurately
  • If unable to attend work, please call the call in line at 812-316-0177 within thirty minutes of the beginning of the shift.
  • Responsible for visually checking to ensure product being ran is of acceptable quality at all times, notifying Shift/Area Supervisor if quality is sub-standard.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary.
  • May be required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift and move over 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
