About The Position

LI - Temp-to-Hire Packer Position Hours: M - F 7a-3:30p Pay rate: $14hr Key Responsibilities: Packages and labels raw materials into finished good products Provides first line quality control for raw products and finished goods to ensure they meet standards Helps maintain Packaging area cleanliness and organization May provide adjustments on automated packaging equipment Fills out production paperwork noting quantities and material used in the process of packaging May be required to trim or otherwise modify some products prior to packaging Pull necessary raw material from shelves for packaging into finished goods Print necessary labels for finished product Perform all other tasks as required when assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Entry level position, no previous job experience required
• Good basic math skills
• Better than average analytical skills
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
• Willing to work overtime when necessary
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. repeatedly
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time – this is a stand-up position
• Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects
• Finger/wrist dexterity for grabbing/packaging product
• Must be able to get along well with a variety of different people
• Ability to work a variety of jobs
• Ability to exchange information with co-workers and work as part of a team
• Ability to communicate professionally via telephone and electronically at various organizational levels
• Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce
• Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be comfortable working with automated packaging equipment
