Play to Win – We’re bold, ambitious, and relentless in our pursuit of success.   Overview of the Role: A Packer is responsible for quality, throughput, and safety of the packing process and takes pride in his/her flexibility and proficiency in servicing the customer. A Packer participates in the continuous efforts to improve our process and quality so that Woodstream can successfully meet the customers’ expectations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred•
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hand tools such as wrench and screwdriver preferred•
  • Experience operating pallet jack preferred•

Responsibilities

  • Packing quality parts, labeling, and stacking product as defined by product specification and documentation
  • Complying with the safety policies of the company and working to achieve an accident-free environment
  • Performance of processes at or beyond standard (100% + efficiency)
  • Identify problem areas that are focused on Throughput, Quality, and Safety
  • Participate with Manufacturing and Engineering team members to define issues, suggest solutions
  • Successfully implement solution both individually and as part of the team
  • Interact with all teammates toward the accomplishment of throughput, quality, and safety
  • Responsible to perform in the following areas in addition to any other processes that content or skills may warrant: Ant Bait Packing, EAC Packing, Pieces and parts packing and Molding Packing
  • Transfer product utilizing a manual pallet jack
  • Assist Machine Operator with changeovers and any other tasks using basic hand tools
  • Complete daily production sheet according to instructions
  • Regular attendance to maintain the functions of the job
  • Performs other duties as assigned
